Review 2020

The year 2020 is coming to an end and I would like to express my appreciation for your support during this special season. Your support and interest over such a “difficult” time is not to be taken for granted – MANY THANKS for that.

In January – March I started very well at several international PRO and Amateur tournaments and was extremely excited about the upcoming tournaments. After that I unfortunately had an very long break during which I was able to concentrate more on my physical condition and on myself.

With the necessary support from Nino & The Golfers I was able to continue my golf training in a different way during the Lockdown. During this time I also receive the necessary support from my coach Philippe and we communicated very regularly, even if only through videos.

It is unknown when the season will start again and when the first tournament will take place. With the organized one-day tournaments (mid-June) of Swiss Golf, I can finally compete again in tournament mode with the best professionals and amateurs in Switzerland and prepare myself for possible international events.

The international tournaments start again at the beginning of July with the Memorial Olivier Barras in Crans-Montana. The excitement for this tournament was enormous and I was extremely motivated to show my best golf game. In the ending, I was able to finish the tournament as second best amateur, which showed me that I made the best use of my time during the lockdown.

The international tournaments are now continuing regularly and for the first time I will be selected by SwissGolf for an international event, where my coach Philippe will be with me.

In Austria I achieve my biggest and most emotional success of my golf career so far. Together with Philippe as coach, my sister as caddie and my parents as support I can celebrate my first international victory – a very emotional moment which will stay in my memory forever.

Now it goes on to one after another international tournaments, where I can play consistent results which will often bring me into the top 10.

The selections for the European Team Championships in Holland are coming up, and thanks to my victory in Austria and my consistent golf play, I will be called up for the European Team Championships for the first time in my career.
In an unbelievable week with Ronan, Robert and Nicola, we achieve the third place for Switzerland in the highest league. This experience was simply “crazy”.

The following single European Championship in Switzerland is also a new experience for me. In terms of results, there would have been a lot in it, but I could not call up everything during this week. With the end of the individual European Championships, it was almost certain that the season was already over.

In October, November and now in December I have been working intensively on my physique and have been able to implement my swing changes together with Philippe on a regular basis.

Now I have to continue to work on fitness, technique, mentality and my job on a regular basis and to improve my environment if necessary. The planned start of the season is mid-February with the Portuguese International Amateur in Lissabon – I hope I can enter without quarantine and finally take part in a big international event again.
